Did not finish book. Stopped at 19%.

I’ve not added a star review as I didn’t finish. I got to 20% but I just wasn’t into it. The protagonist was annoying to me and it felt really slow.

If you’re here after watching the Netflix series first, it’s worth noting that the series is based on several of Pike’s stories not just this one.
The book starts when she’s already in the hospice and there isn’t the supernatural elements (like the basement discovery and legends about the hospice and the club in the series). Dr White is also a guy in this.
The characters all feel familiar and they get to know each other through their stories, as they process being in palliative care. Certainly not a happy read but I found it interesting to hear the different ways they come to accept a terminal diagnosis.
