This Will Be Fun by E.B. Asher

This has actually made me LOL a few times. It’s cheesy and feels low stakes, the main conflicts are not physical but rather emotional/character driven.
It’s definitely cheesy, but the medieval type setting makes it a bit cheeky and fun vs eyerolling-y.

There’s a bit too much self-hatred + lack of communication between everyone which is annoying but I do enjoy the process of everyone unknotting their feelings together to work through their grief and friendships.

I found the writing style of Peter’s POV really jarring and hard to get used to, but I think the use of different voices for the characters worked really well in the end.

I also found some of the characters really frustrating and didn’t understand some of their choices.

However even with those things considered? This is such a touching story of grief, siblings, complicated relationships, and how they all intertwine. It definitely moved me more than I expected and I think it will stay with me for quite a while.
