I really enjoyed this version of “Persuasion” and the fact that it stayed true to the book while also being a sort of radio play. I think that Austen’s style of writing really lends itself to being read aloud as quick and witty banter. It really humanized all of the characters beyond their 19th century society.

I was really engaged for the first half of this book, but unfortunately my interest sort of fell off and I lacked investment in the characters.

I love Molly Baz and I love how colorful and unapologetic this cookbook is. I hoped for more vegetarian recipes and overall I find the cookbook a little overwhelming and not as user-friendly as some other cookbooks.

Overall enjoyed this book and it was an easy read. I think as a twenty something who grew up as a late bloomer and a little goody two shoes, I didn’t personally relate to the author’s experiences, but I enjoyed it because it feels like a True Coming of Age book and not in a way of feeling cliche or about teenagers who still have a lot to learn about the world. This book is a growing into womanhood piece that I find so wonderful.

This was my first foray into Murakami’s work and in all honesty, I think I chose the wrong book to start with. “1Q84” still feels like a work in progress draft that could have been consolidated into a much shorter book. The fantasy elements of the book are intriguing, but unexplained; the story-line the religious cult was completely underdeveloped and underutilized. I didn’t feel invested in either of the main characters which was such a shame and the sex scenes felt so gratuitous. I was underwhelmed and disappointed.

One of the loveliest photography books that truly showcases our multi-faceted human existence and how we live among ourselves.

I really enjoyed listening to this book, however, I actually wish it had been longer because in listening to the audiobook, it felt more like a climate change podcast and shared some really great stories, but felt a little general.
