Real Americans by Rachel Khong
3.75
I enjoyed this book overall, but I have a few major critiques. The author tries to tackle a number of large-scale issues, but in doing so, results in only being able to explore them at a surface level. Additionally, I was disappointed that main character flaws that were discussed in the characters POVs were suddenly resolved in part 3 time skip, with no explanation as to how or why.
Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt

Marcellus and Tova were fantastic - I always enjoyed the chapters in their POVs. Cameron, however, was extremely aggravating. Imagine being 30 and still being an obnoxious man-child who refuses to own up to his mistakes. Also, much of the plot in this book depends on miscommunication, which I hate.
