I really loved this book, even if it didn’t quite reach the heights of Sistersong for me. Holland’s writing is excellent, her mastery of complex historical concepts and her ability to present them in an easy yet compelling narrative is what makes her books so readable. Holland is now an auto-buy author for me and I’m sure I’ll reread this again one day.
