Premise: 10/10
Execution: 2/10

I was enthralled until they got to Tinsel. After that point, it went from a delightful and original forced proximity to a painfully cheesy and awkward interaction filled mess.

Too much pointless miscommunication, the cheesiness of holiday rom coms was leaned into too much somehow, and the forced awkwardness of the motel and karaoke were not it for me..

I enjoyed the first two stories immensely. The last story of was alright. I loved the friendships and relationships and the time jumping. I really want to know what fandom the original fanfictions were a part of, lol.

The writing was gorgeous, especially when she wrote about food. It was a touching memoir.

I learned a lot and it was a captivating story, but it was so horrific and upsetting, and pointlessly so in many ways. I'm not sure I can say I enjoyed it, even though it was well written and educational and held my attention.
