This book is a must read, or you will miss something when you get to Apollyon. It's a vital key point into the book, that sets things for the future books. But once again, it was phenomenal, another one I could't put down. I love this series so much. I want more!

I was given this book by the author, for an honest review.

I'm a huge fan of indie authors as they keep bringing fresh a new books, most of which I fall in love with.

A shade of vampire brings us to the beach where Sophie is beating herself up over her best friend Ben, and the feelings she has for him. While walking along the beach in the middle of the night she comes across a stranger who is extremely handsome as well as dangerous.

Next thing Sophie realizes is that she's being drugged and blacks out only to come to a room, that so much resembles a dungeon.

While she's in this room that same stranger comes in and very much wants his way with her but fortunately Lucas, her kidnapper, sister walks in and saves her life. Only does she realize that she's not being saved out of the kindness of the other vampires heart, but in fact that Sophie is to be a part of her (Vivienne) twin brother Dereks harem.

At finally meeting Derek who has been asleep for a very long time, he ends up attacking her, but doesn't instead her takes her into his interest and treats her quite special.

So in this book you slight twists and turns, a potential love blooming, and jealousy, hatred, and the unknown, and hunters who are after to destroy the entire vampire race. This book definitely sunk its fangs into me. I just can't wait to get hold of the next book, cause I'm dying to find out what happens next

Ever have those books that when you finish one, you want to immediately read the next one because you are so involved in the series? Well this book and series fits that Bill. The writing is phenomenal, the story is just awesome itself. The mixture out modern day atmosphere, with a scene like what you saw in the old 90`s film "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves" with the living up in the trees. Very vivid world Bella Forest has created for us.

In "A Shade of Vampire" we were left with Sophia and Derek kissing as he was helping her and her best friend Ben escape. In "A Shade of Blood" we're still in that same scene, but Sophia is debating on whether she really wants to leave the Shade and Derek, or to escape with Ben and go back to her old life.

BACK at home Sophia and Ben try to go back to being normal, however can they ever be normal now, after the things Claudia did to Ben, and the unrepentant feelings Sophia still has for Derek.

back at the Shade Derek is turning more dark everyday since Sophia left, and he's letting the darkness consume him despite the warnings if his twin sister Vivienne kept telling him.

This book is filled with twists and turns at every corner, and a shockingly surprising ending. I would put more into this review about what happens in the book but I don't want to spoil any of the goodies inside, so if you are dying to know what happens next, then you need to pick up A Shade of Blood and sink your teeth into this deliciously entrancing story.

Ugh! This book was just released, so now I have to wait forever to get my greedy hands on the next book.

A Castle of Sand, is a little more intense emotionally than the other two books, you can tell it's just going to get darker from here on out in Sophia and Derek's adventures. It already has. This book, has many mixed emotions, and a lot of guilt and sorrow, mixed in with some pride, and most definitely lots of love.

Sophia (human) and Derek (Vampire, also prince of the Shade), couldn't be anymore in love than they are. Except with having Derek's father home, puts a cramp in their relationship, responsibilities that must be met, and inner turmoil on the fact that Sophia is mortal while, Derek is immortal. Sophia during a lot of this book refers to the sandcastle statement Ben made, but with different variations.

Sophia grows stronger in this book, and Derek due to his love for Sophia keeps a grand hold on his humanity and surprises you every step of the way. Sophia was getting a little whiny at some points that I had to just roll my eyes.

But other than the minor irritants I'm still lovin this series, and Bella Forest is still rocking the smooth material out. UGH! How long before the next one is released? lol

this was an awesome book, I could barely put it down. The Chemistry between Mia and Kyrian was phenominal. Although, it was pretty predictable about her being part Alien, but other than that it was great. It had humor, violence, a good plot, sexual tension, sex, love, a good ending.

this was great I loved how they both tried to refuse each other, but ended up getting further into each other's hearts. Hot erotic scenes, actions scenes could've been a little better but I could handle it.

This one was alright... I wasn't feeling it like I have the others I have read. I don't know exactly what it was that put me off of this book that I just didn't love it like I have the rest.
