Enjoyed it but not enough. A bit to much for me to actually root for the MFC.

The concept is wonderful, the outcome was terrible.
The writing style is choppy, full of dialogue and honesty juvenile. The pacing was fast paced but the story only got good by 80%.
The characters are unlovable and not believable. The trying to be feminist was a fail and very pick me. I don't think the FMC understood feminism it's not about not shaving it's about CHOICE. Being a feminist you'd think she would have female friends and want to uplift other women but it was not the case. Living with men who have a sex doll and constantly being quite macho male is not great. I didn't feel like I could believe the MMC loved the FMC because I couldn't even feel compassion towards her.
The last chapters were okay. She become bearable but again you can't just turn your emotions on just like that. I honestly was not routing for these two.
I don't recommend.

This sport romance follows a Phaedra one of the best race engineers in Formula 1, following in her father’s footsteps. Her assumptions on the new hot driver; Cosmin Ardelean affected her work and her ability to do her work but what happens when they grow close?
I would recommend this to any sport-romance lover. I picked it up for enjoyment, which it accomplished. The formula 1 knowledge was appreciated as well. I wish the romanced felt real and not so superficial, I don’t think they would last.
The main character wasn’t particularly lovable, I did feel compassion and empathy towards her, but it didn’t measure up to the annoyance. I felt compassion towards the majority of characters but it felt forced. I did not like her friendships that much nor did I like the whole conversation around relationships and work and being a women in such a male dominant word, I think it tried to mention it but then failed to actually show the challenges or at least empower women.
The plot felt a bit loose, with potholes and certain parts that felt irrelevant and were there to make it dramatic and bring some darkness into the story. It felt like a romance you would read on Wattpad which can be good for enjoyment and if that’s what you are looking for, please read this.
The audiobook was lovely, it felt like listening to a movie. I would recommend you listen to the audiobook any day.

- Might turn into a 5 stars if I continuously think about this novel.
Actually wonderful, made me feel so seen and represented. Ali Hazelwood is able to put your emotions in words on a page and make you cry.

I really liked the art style, especially the play with black and white and a splash of pink.
I really enjoyed the discussions of our first relationships, toxicity, friendships and queerness. I wish the whole discussion around Freddie's friend's relationship with the married man had emphasized how problematic it is for a grown man to groom a teenage girl.

This sport romance was an enjoyable read, mainly set in a bookshop. The story follows Sam and Nick through their romantic escapades.
I loved the characters however I found Sam slightly annoying with the whole “eggs”. The overall read was enjoyable, but I cringed quite a lot and rolled my eyes many times. I loved the plus size representation, but it felt slightly off as the new cover has a female character who is not plus size. I also felt like the lesbian rep was just weird, it felt like the only reason it was in the story was to help with character growth, it felt stereotype and much like sexuality is a switch you turn off and on. The whole discussion of fertility and motherhood was frustrating, it would have been wonderful to have a deep thought through discussion around the social pressures when turning 30 of becoming a mother, but it felt like it wasn’t the reason it was add, it actually felt like that is how you should feel as a women.
The writing style and pacing was well done and made the read easy and enjoyable. I felt like the characters were telling us how they felt and not showing us but that did not affect my read.
I wouldn’t class this as a sport romance as it doesn’t really mention his NHL career enough, but it was still a nice romance. I would recommend if you just want a bingeable romance.

J'ai aimé les illustrations même si c'était pas toujours lié au texte. Une poésie de cette nature est pas pour moi, mais j'ai vraiment voulu aimer mais bon c'était beaucoup de blabla et pas beaucoup d'émotions fortes.
