Temporary Beauty is a collection of memories, thoughts, stories, journal entries, nightmares, and love stories. Exploring the themes of Panic Disorder and Generalized Anxiety Disorder, specifically their affects on life, relationships and creativity.

This Memoir is a perfect read for any one who is a women, an artisit, has anxiety. From the first entry I was hoocked, I felt seen and able to relate in many different ways.

The pacing and writing style were good, making the read enjoyable and well paced. I took my time to read this as it is heavy but couldn't stop thinking about it after I put it down. The themes captured my attentions and were explored in a perfect way, it felt so real. The idea of a memoir with a focus on axniety and art was original and really interested me as a anxious artist myself. The use of Myles Art; photography throughout this was amazing. Adding the complexity of being a women and how that affect her and other's perception of her ability to be a photographer. Even with quite heavy themes it brough enjoyment and lightness the continues story of her and her husbands love from the start to the end. The story was emotionally impactfull especially as I related to many parts.

I would recommed this to everyone !

Be in my bubble is a COVID-19 romance. I was a bit scared of reading a lock down romance but was happily suprised. I enjoyed the characters and found the pacing nice and easy. The story and characters had depth. It was a nice close door romance. I was left frustrated with the representation, throughout the story Emily is desxribed as being plus-size but once again the cover show a thin woman. I also felt like some of the conversations around sexisms were overlooked. Maybe i would of enjoyed even more if there was more critical insight. I would recommmed to any romance lover.

Thanks Netgally for the ARC.

The fun plot line and fast pace of this novel made the read quick, easy and enjoyable. The drama was funny but the story still had some depth. Characters were loveable. This romance is a basic hockey romance, which was perfect for what I was searching for. I would recommed to anyone looking for a silly romance.

I believe there was some issues with language and themes. Through out the story we understand Elle as being plus-size, however the cover completly disregards this and makes the whole representation a slap in the face. During the whole novel the slut-shaming and sexism was slightly annoying. It felt very wattpaddy in that way. Additionally I believe the discussion around abortion was slightly problematic, it felt like it wasn't considered and shamed which is problematic.

The plot was fun and interesting, it hooked me in. The characters were lovable; Sam and Bex were two wonderful people, the family relationship with Bex's sisters were wonderful. The writing style was quick and easy with a fast-paced romance with some mysterie. The deeper themes brought depth and emotional impact to the read with the themes of family, saphic love and more. The story was original and fun. Some more deep conversation within the story had an emotional impact. I enjoyed the overall read and story with a happy ever after.

This books was not for me but I don't regret picking up and would recommed to certain people.
I did not like the structure nor the way it was written. It left me frustrated, it felt like a friend ranting to me about their life, which fair enough it is a memoir. I did enjoy some aspects and overall spend a good time reading it with a lot of humour. I think it is overhyped and incorrectly marketed. I could not relate to the character but understand how it can emotional impact readers.

Deeply moving. Painfully cried myself to sleep after finishing the book. The emotional impact this story had on me made it a 5 stars. It was a wonderfully painful story, discussing death and growth.
I will never forget the last letter nor will I forget mamie-rose.

Collection of short stories; it feltd like a collection, the stories held hands together. With some short stories hinting to others.
Beautiful descriptions, specifically the feeling of running and nature in The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner. The social discussion within were fascinating and well done.

"And I with my books have not seen him since. It was like saying goodbye to a part of me, for ever"
