this was okay in my opinion. Definitely not my favorite Ali Hazelwood book - the characters kinda fell flat for me and I hate other woman drama. This book was almost more about Pen than it was Scarlett and Lukas. Loved all the little Swedish crumbs -  Lukas is a typical Ali MMC and we love that. Overall enjoyed but probably wouldn’t reread or anything !

Did I finish this book or did this book finish me? The passion, envy, scandals, jealousy, betrayals - I can’t get over how addicted I was to this story - every chapter had me gasping or shaking my head and when I would think we are in the clear NOPE what else could go wrong. Or right? The whole interview structure was so fun because you have this overwhelming sense of doom from all the interviewees but you NEED to know how they got there and what happened.

I hated every character (except Garrett really) at some point in this book but also loved them. My frustration with the characters only added to the story in my opinion because you have to know how they fix their fuck ups. The character growth in Kat alone was beyond beautiful.

Bonus points if you listen to the audio because the different narrators made this even more fun.
5⭐️ read for me and highly recommend

Loved Wills book because we learn he actually is smart and not just the funny sidekick friend. I didn’t think I’d enjoy this series as much as I did but here we are. Very cheesy at parts but I was still addicted so idk what that says about me. Penelope deserves my ultimate praise for my most hated character in this series turning into my favorite - idk how she did it but damn love u forever Damon.

Everyone needs a man as down bad for them as Eli is for Rue holy shit. This book had me blushing from start to finish - I swear Ali just knows how to write perfect men. I did think the book probably could have been shorter because it was repetitive within both the main character’s inner monologues (especially Eli - we get it you NEED Rue & would do anything for her) Other than that, thoroughly enjoyed this!

God dammit I’m eating every bad thing I said about Damon. This one was so good it actually hurt. Idk how Penelope did it but she made him so redeemable but still the morally grey MMC we love. Winter is also a fabulous FMC - her being blind threw me at the beginning but it gave her so much more depth and made this book 10x better imo. I cannot believe I’m writing a good review for Damon’s book - obsessed

Okay now I understand the hype with this series. Still a little cringe but this was 1000x better than book 1. Kai is everything - I fear this may be my favorite of the series but we shall see if Damon can redeem himself

Rebecca .. please.. we can’t keep doing this. These endings are going to actually send me into a depression. Overall this is way better than Iron Flame but still not as magical as fourth wing. From like 20%-75% I was completely SAT the plot was so fast paced and fun. The last 100 pages of course so much happens and it’s all too much for my brain to handle right now & I feel dead inside. I genuinely enjoyed reading this one, I just hate that I have to wait so long to know what happens after that ending. I’m also praying we’re not rushing into another one of my least favorite tropes -_-
