I still remember the first pages of The One And Only Ivan, and how I was immediately drawn in. This third book is good, fine and connects back to Ivan.

I admit: I do not know of his writing work. But I was taken by this book of journal posts and his artwork on his pages. Also, he curates the pages not in time sequence but in his own narrative framework, and I found that all rather fascinating.

I almost didn't pick this one up because the last two books in the Q series were just mediocre. But this last book in the Department Q was pretty good, and ties up many of the loose ends from the series. I was satisfied.
