I was very confused going into this comic but the complex world and intriguing politics made it worth it. I'm excited to pick up the next volume.

I loved this book with every fiber of my being. Its so important. The ability to choose is so, so important and I love how important that was to the story.

I think its important to see different stories. Not every victim has the same experience.

It was a little too neat at times, but I loved it nonetheless.

I have disproportionate feelings about this book.

idk. I wanted to love it and it'll probably stick with me for a long time but I wasn't a huge fan of the way it was told. I also wanted more at the end of Offred's story, and the historical notes were my favorite part.

But I know its an important story and that it reflects a lot of what's happening in our society today, with terrifying accuracy. It'd scary to think of the reality that could be just around the corner on the whim of a few fanatics.

I'm going to lay here in agony instead of doing anything I should actually be doing.

For some reason I was surprised by how much I like this book, considering how much I liked the first in the series.

I have feelings about it and I don't know how to put them into words. So just imagine some flailing and thats pretty much it.

Blackwood's power play at the end made me reeeaaallly uncomfortable. I just didn't like how that whole little story arc was wrapped up. It should've been longer and messier than it was.

I can't decide if I want to rate this 3 or 3 1/2 stars.
I really liked the ending. Lia's character development was fantastic.
But I wasn't a huge fan of the first 250 pages. Lia was silly and everything was so convenient. I didn't like the whole "which boy is which" thing. (Its why I don't read suspense. mostly, I just want to know I'm right so I can move on.)
Every reaction I've every seen to this book suggested there was a huge plot twist at the end??? Unless They just really got the guys wrong, I can't figure out what that is??
I read it really fast though. And I enjoyed a great deal of it. I picked it up knowing it would be romance heavy, so I really can't complain.

Everything was a bit too cutesy and convenient in this one. The character development was cut off completely. It was just kind of meh.
But it was a good, cute palate cleanser between all the dark fantasy and SciFi I've been reading lately.
