I enjoyed most of Emily Giffin's books but I just did not like this one. I tried really hard to want to love it but I just couldn't connect with this story.

This book was a sweet read. Yes, it felt a little rough around the edges because when I first went in on it I was thinking it would be this super sweet story of young teenage love. But it was a little grittier than that because it felt a little more real. Not everyone has that sweet boy next door, cute little girl in English class story. But everyone has a first love no matter the surrounding situation which made me appreciate this story and the characters even more. Of course the ending left me wanting more (I even kept flipping back a couple pages to re-read it before I decided to shut the book in complete finality) but I felt it was good ending. An ending that makes you look back and get lost in your own memories of your first huge crush and your unforgettable first love.
