This was a super sweet and light read! A lot of people (including the author) have drawn comparisons to Legends & Lattes, with slightly higher stakes. I would argue that there's a bigger plot, but the stakes are, if anything, lower than L&L, especially the emotional stakes. I know it feels cheap when character conflict is rooted in miscommunication, but I needed a little more drama either in the relationship or the plot. The conflicts were generally resolved within the chapter and as a result I never felt any genuine danger. Honestly, most of the chapters felt like fluffy fanfiction oneshots than parts of a novel. I would still recommend it for someone looking for a light read that you can keep picking up and putting down after reading a chapter or two.
