Wow, just wow. Jeneva Rose created an incredible story around a husband, his dead mistress, and defense attorney wife. The Perfect Marriage had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. It has been years since I’ve read a suspense/thriller that’s this good. I’m simply speechless.

I think Twisted Lies has replaced Twisted Games as my favorite in the Twisted series. With the story focusing on Stella and Christian, characters from the other books make this story so much more enjoyable. It’s all of your favorite friends in a new light, what’s not to love? I didn’t realize how much I’d like Stella. I don’t remember her too much from the other books but she’s almost my favorite. Her story has so many layers, even before adding Christian to the mix. All in all, Twisted Lies was an amazing end to the series.

Wow, just wow. When I tell you that L.B. Divine left me speechless, I should add that my jaw literally fell open. The story crafted in such a way that you’re hooked from the start and you fall in love (or learn to hate) characters from your first encounter. Influenced by the legends of King Arthur, The Prince of Snow is told through multiple perspectives. Through details, layers of complexity are woven together to create the terror that is the First Kingdom.

I cannot wait to continue the series with The King of Flames, and I’m already on the lookout for book 3.

Silverskin by Caitee Cooper

Silverskin is the best book I’ve read in a long time!

The characters were designed in a way that they are not only relatable, but you feel as though you’ve befriended them. You feel Ellie’s pain, Oliver’s sadness, and Sam’s love for his sister. Their relationships feel like the ones you and I share with our siblings and our partners. The characters have normal conversations, ones that I myself have probably had with my own sister and husband.

The supernatural element was done in such a sophisticated manner. It was woven into the story rather than being tacked on at the end. You can feel the agony caused by the terror the characters face when encountering the supernatural, and you will see this trend continue throughout the novel.

With the twists and turns you never see coming, Cooper has a unique ability to pull you in from the prologue and keeps you coming back for more. I am eagerly awaiting the sequel, and I am excited to see what Caitee Cooper has in store for us.
