NEVER KNEW A THUG LIKE THIS by Latoya Nicole

An Okay Read
This was a okay read, it was very entertaining. There were some gaps and editing issues, I wanted more character development & dialogue that didn’t end with an argument/fight and a little more from the storyline.
Also I think the author should be mindful/careful about how she writes about LGBTQ people (don’t mention those characters or elements if it’s not going to be done right).
As I said, it was very entertaining, there was a lot of humor & hood shenanigans. Listen, every time they mentioned Donny I was fighting for my spot in heaven.

LOVE A BLACK PARANORMAL ROMANCE
Mel Dau is one of the authors I always look forward to reading. I loved the lore in this project, black paranormal romances are amazing because we get to live out storylines and plots that are not limited to struggling. I love the author’s creativity. This was a refreshing read.

A Cinematic Experience
First of all, the world building in this series is insane. Piece by piece, couple by couple this world comes together beautifully. I could NOT put this book down, as other readers have said it was an emotional rollercoaster and I was completely tuned in for every part. Ah’dan piqued my interest in book one so to finally start unwrapping his complexity was exciting and on time. Niya is beyond incredible because i was ready to give up on this Legro a couple of times (I don’t want to spoil anything but I’ll saying there were to TRYING part). Author please continue to write this series, you are so gifted. This is Science fiction that more than just acknowledges the existence of black people but highlights it/celebrates it and I am here for it.

Obsessed with this series
I’ve been reading these science fiction romance for the last seven days, Author please release your hold on me. It’s the beautiful, brilliant Black intergalactic lawyer for me. I love how strong and determined Ebony is & how Kyr respects who his woman is. So I’m obsessed & I’m ready every single book

Can’t wait for the next book!
Verse was the epitome of “if a man wants you, he will come get you and his intentions will show in his words and his actions”.
Garryn was STUBBORN but she was dealing with the right one, the ever patient Verse. I was glad to see the guard come down.
The thing about a good book series is that it makes you want more, it makes you want a story for everybody. I need a Hakeem book in the series, I think I need an Onyx book too and one for Rem and her bodyguard (I wouldn’t be mad at a Second Chance Novella about Gia and Isaac).
