I enjoyed Bride more than I thought I would! There were a couple of tropes that annoyed me, but overall, it was a fun read and just what I needed. It kind of gave me Patricia Briggs vibes, but more playful and romantic.

This was a really interesting perspective I hadn't thought about. I enjoyed the story and have so many questions for her parents. My only critique was the dark lettering on a dark background. It wasn't on every page, and I understand why she did it, but it was still hard to read at times.

This will probably end up being my favorite book this year. I loved reading Phoebe's Diary! I related so much to the author, and I wish I could've been friends with her when I was in high school. Or, at the very least, I wish I'd had this book when I was a teenager. I had so many similar experiences with Phoebe, like sewing up my pants to turn them into skinny jeans. Her artwork is lovely and adds even more depth to her stories. I hope my daughter will read this book someday and be inspired just like I was!
