This book was so Hunger Games I sometimes forgot I wasn't reading Hunger Games. That being said I still liked the book. The magic systems and plot that did differ from HG made up for it. Can't wait to see what happens in the second book and I have heard good things about the 1.5 story.

Love a short sci-fi read and this book was so good. Kind of wish I had bought the other 3 books! Can't wait for the TV adaptation! This book reminded me of the book Service Model by Tchaikovsky and also another amazing short sci-fi

Another Reacher book down! Thanks to Prhaudio for the complimentary audiobook! This one was awesome and I kind of wanted more bad guys so the book could last longer. Can't wait to see Alan Ritchson take this one on in season 3 of Reacher!

Thanks to Macmillan Audio and Tor for sending me this complimentary audiobook! What a great short read! A novella that definitely could be broadened to a novel. Such quick murder mystery! It says number 1 so I am excited for number 2 in this series!!

Thanks to SagaPress for sending me this book! This is my first R A Salvatore book. It was A LOT of new characters and world building. I was truly not comfortable until almost half way through it with all the names and terminology. The second book is coming out soon and I am hoping I can jump into that one with a better grasp on things!

Fantastic and should be a taught book in schools. Everyone should read this and learn from it. Great art and important lessons in history along with an amazing take on Superman's origin story

Sometimes you need a slasher scifi horror to break up the monotony of the usual reading habits! This was it. Kind of reminded me of a few things .. oddly enough a R rated Ernest Scared Stupid came to mind?
Definitely love the mix of reality based bad guys and monsters small town kids giving King vibes as well! Can't wait for book two and more of The Children!

I really loved Falling and Drowing and was surprised the turn this book takes. While there is a plane on the front of the book not a lot of plane action. The plot is incredibly scary and I live relatively close to a nuclear power plant so woof. This book kinda lost me about half way through. If you love disaster movies or books this is probably up your alley but I wanted maybe a bit more character building. I just didn't find myself attached to anyone.
