I'm soooo sad, I wanted to love this book so bad 😭😭 Unfortunately I couldn't connect with any of the characters and it was annoying me that major events just happen off-page?? And where was the character development and characters reflecting on these huge events? Things just happened and that was it, we moved on to the next thing...the pacing was really off.

The best part was Ma, but even she wasn't developed enough to grip me. Still, would have been a better main character :/

 Definitely worth the hype, wow! Evelyn is ICONIC 🥰 i love character driven books and this one was so well done. Loved how complex and flawed Evelyn was portrayed, exploring the fact not everyone is always good or always bad. Slightly too cheesy at times, but I was so invested in the characters that i didn't really mind

Also, I love that i can relate this book to like 10 different Taylor Swift songs. Again, iconic ✨
