There may be readers who felt the twist in here was unexpected. But I did guess it. {not bragging about it}
Guessing the twist didn't make me enjoy the book less.
But as there were a few unexpected twists in the first book, I loved it more.

Yes, I enjoyed the book in total. There were unexpected twists. I enjoy books that maintain suspense throughout. This was one of those.
I do wish Callie was a bit more mature in some ways.
There were hints of something brewing between Dahlia and Deimos since the first few chapters. Thus, I am happy to read the final book of the Dark Hearts Series - Reckless Hearts.

I didn't enjoy the sudden time gap between one of the chapters. (after he kicked her out of his office)
The plot was predictable at first, then after 60% - a new plot line came into view. It was predictable too, but still I enjoyed reading the book.
