This book was super cute. It was a good mix of sexy and funny. I think the plot and storyline was original. I have read stories with demons and nephilim before but nothing like this!! The idea of how Ash is cursed and Eva is the only one to see him is so so clever!!! Especially since I didn’t see her true identity as a nephilim!!! And even her dad being a Grigori. I thought he would come to be a demon before that so amazing!! I like the cast of characters that are given to us here. Meph and Misti are my favorite!! The smut in this was placed well and made sense with the story. Which I enjoy. Like….I want smut but i also want my porn to have a plot 🤪

This book was overall enjoyable and it was a quick read. There were points that feel repetitive. I was reading the same internal thoughts of the main characters over and over and that is a small “book ick” of mine. But it didn’t take away from the story.

This was still a classic slow burn romance. The smut scenes in this book feel rightly placed. We get about 5 in detail, with a few more just being mentions. Love a good single dad trope! Wyatt was cute with his little girl. I love how there was no miscommunication trope (though I am a sucker), no cheating trope, or anything like that. It was solely about them, and how they became a couple/family.

Where do I even begin with this book. First and foremost Lucie and Aidan - the banter from the jump was ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. It was flirty, it was cheeky, it was everything you want in a MC couple. I related to every character in this book and I LOVED THAT.

When Lucie was on the phone with Aidan for the first time and she was talking about “how the world makes you feel silly for the things you want” FELT THAT. When she spoke of wanting magic (and later hones) I was like “girl you’re preaching to the choir”. But on the flip side I got why Aidan was so closed off, why he “stopped believing” in love. That boy was TRAUMATIZED! And

Aidan mother-fucking Valentine…the man you are 🥵. This man was down bad from the moment he heard her speak on the phone. And when he RUSHED to the restaurant for her…that was it. I was done. WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU GOT PINEAPPLE PIZZA CAUSE SHE WAS ON YOUR MIND!!!

The smut scenes in this books were top mother f’ing tier. It didn’t feel out of place, the pacing was right throughout the entire book. Maggie, Maya, Greyson and Patty were my favorite side characters. Honestly you got this characters personalities so clearly cause BK’s writing was so good. Sometimes background characters get lost. Easily favorite read of 2025! I wish I could reread and experience it all over again.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 12%.
There was a whole lot of nothing going on but at the same time there was so much going on I was confused. Couldn’t understand how to pronounce one name have it be a person or a place. I wanted to like it so bad but it was becoming a chore to read and not enjoyable.

I had really really high hopes for this books and to say it was a let down would be an understatement. In the description is was said to be a “Outlander”-esque story. And Outlander is one of my fave series! But Outlander this was not and Kane was no Jamie Fraser. And I think that’s where the expectations got off on the wrong foot. The only thing in common this had with Outlander was the fact the FMC “time traveled” to another time/dimension.

I found Hannah to be really really annoying. I get she was trying to “find herself” and like change her life. But she sounded so whiny and mopey 90% of the time. The only time I tolerated her was when she was Towerfall and hanging out with Marion. But also her time in Towerfall felt like a whole lotta nothing was happening except her having sexual tension with Kane. Who also was annoying. Book boyfriend he is not. The brooding, mysterious tall dark and handsome MMC wasn’t happening with this one. Also the two of them didn’t spend enough time together to make their “romance” believable. He sees her naked one and now has “uncontrollable thirst” for her? No thanks.

This was a “meh” for me. The beginning was promising, it lost me in the middle, and the ending was rushed.

Liked this one way more than “Ravishing a Rogue”. Lowell was a little too whiny for me. But that was the whole point of his character. For a werewolf/monster erotica romance…it was good! Don’t know if I’ll read more by the author though…

This one was…ok. Like it wasn’t good, it wasn’t bad. It was enjoyable and the voice actors were good so it made the audiobook enjoyable. But I feel that if I had read this, instead of listening, this would be more lack luster.

The story felt surface level and overall “stereotypical”. It was the class:
- second chance
- miscommunication trope
- “you’re better off without me”/“I’ll only hurt you”
- groveling man

Romance. So if you want something fluffy and light to listen to (or read) this one is a good option.
