This audiobook is definitely on my reread list. The subject is very informative, but very hard to understand on the first read. You'll retain at least 25% of the information at the end of the book, but a reread will probably help.

The book was a little hard to follow, I had to use Cliff notes to help me through. The book is over 100 yrs old and it drives to the point of what colonialism has done. Short enough to revisit numerous times.

Close to 99% of the information here holds true. There are some issues that don't hold up anymore, like the Soviet Union and North Korean governments, which have taken a hard right turn as of late & have withheld progress of the working class almost since its inception. A great read & a good analysis following "King Leopold's Ghost".

Informative book that will lead you into other books and open up all kinds of questions and a questionable existence of the current European economic state. Who and how was the West built?

The audiobook is good, but I would also recommend having an ebook at hand to look back on some of the more complex issues and names.
