I think I liked this one more than the first. I liked seeing the perspective back on Earth, and I liked the new characters a lot.

I thought the twist came a bit late, but I have the say it was engaging once we got there. Ambrose I found a little annoying at first, but that faded with time. I really liked the ideas and issues that this book explores.

I liked this one! It started off eerie and certainly had it's moments of 'horror', but overall, it was funny. A found family narrative with a surprising number of animal companions. I found the team charming, and enjoyed that it was all told in one standalone novel.

A full-length Murderbot novel! It's a shame this is the only one because it really was great to be with these characters for longer. I loved the focus of this book and the way that AIs need to define what friendship means to them, apart from humans.

Every murderbot book is a treat. This is no exception.

I liked this book, but I always feel like St John Mandel's books are meant to be read twice. I think I would see many more trends and elegant uses of the themes throughout if I did that. There is some absolutely gorgeous writing in this book. The ending was a little lackluster for me, but not in a way I hated.

I really love Murderbot. They're such a fun character and each little novella feels like visiting a friend. ART was oddly charming and I feel for Murderbot and how terrible humans are at not getting themselves in life or death situations.

Read this first in Aug 2018 and twice since. What a great finale to the series that wraps up all the loose ends I needed. Excellent series.

I first red this in August 2018 and twice since then. A great middle book that makes you think deeper about the themes in the first book and in some respects, challenges them.
