I was fascinated with both the setting and how the tentacles came into the story. It was so funny that their relationship started as roommates and crushes that moved forward when one accidentally ordered porn on their shared account!

I love how these boyfriends evolved their relationship into something special that gave them each something more that they needed. Loren is cute but clueless until Gordon steps up.

These two fall into the "just one bed" trope when they meet at an event that ended up doubled-booked (because Santa is a matchmaker). After time together, they realize they want more than a vacation fling - and actually work at making the changes necessary.

I enjoyed this one slightly less than the first one - the alpha characters were ridiculously clueless and the omega had to go to such lengths to change their relationship away from platonic.

If this is the kind of romance you are looking for, this is just fine. It entertained me on a day spent mostly in bed reading fluff (on purpose). The characters were cute but six weeks later, I remember little.

I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this read - the big prize winners don't usually work for me, although reading along with the Close Reads Podcast discussion definitely helped. Some of the characters blew my mind with their over-the-topness.

I'll admit, I went into this book completely blind and had no idea what to expect. This is a layered novel with several stories, but I felt that enough time was spent in the present (the story I was most invested in) to keep me reading on. The short chapters helped with the momentum, too. As the book neared the middle, I couldn't wait to see what would happen and raced to the end. I alternately felt sad and angry over what the characters went through, and also learned about a piece of history that was new to me.

Friends to lovers with a single dad of emo daughters and the emo punk star that needs a home.
The kids are so ridiculous, but the banter is top-notch and I loved seeing both these two find an HEA.

How awkward can one neighbor be? These two have the worst first date, but the kiddo that wants them to be together knows what's up!

I love how the teens drug their dads into this arrangement. Yummy grumpy lumberjack daddy with a sunshine baker? Yes, please! I found them utterly delicious and delightful!
