The Good Doctor by Jessica Payne
5.0
The Good Doctor is a standalone thriller by best-selling author, Jessica Payne. I’ve seen this advertised a lot recently and every time I see the cover, I’m reminded of what an excellent read this was. I just love the cover, it’s so captivating. I read it over a week ago and am still thinking about it. Jessica Payne is an author not to be missed. Her writing style is a delight to read as its easy to become immersed in and suddenly you realize that hours have passed. I’ve read this author and this one was her best yet. Jessica Payne is now an auto-buy author for me, I don’t even need a synopsis before buying. While the story was somewhat predictable in places, that never detracted from the absolute fun I had read it. Jessica Payne knows how to write interesting and complex characters. The dual POV was excellent and gave us both sides of a very complicated relationship and separation which was slowly revealed layer by layer as the book progressed. I can’t recommend this one enough. Perfect for fans of domestic thrillers.
