I've known Greg Rucka's writing only through comics up to this point and I'm happy to report that I wasn't disappointed by his full-fledged prose. This was a really good read. I enjoyed the pacing and the stories themselves. While I see the issues with the new trilogy of films, I always liked the main trio and I was glad to read about their lives before we meet them in "The Force Awakens". I can gladly recommend this to anyone who'd like to experience some more adventures with Rey, Finn, and Poe. I can see myself coming back to reread it for sure. There are also illustrations included (two for every character) and since they are by the wonderful Phil Noto, they are an absolute treat!
