Cress by Marissa Meyer

5.0

Cress is a fantastic third book and introduces another great female protagonist. Every woman that Meyer has written in this series has been unique in their strengths and weaknesses/insecurities. Cress is no different, and she might be the most adorable character yet. I loved watching her interact with Thorne through out the book, and how her admiration of him makes a difference in how he acts and sees himself.

The rest of the cast is here of course, and the drama, laughter, romance, and action are all full force this time. Even as this book is the longest yet, it never feels padded with filler. Every event, decision, and action feels significant to the story and world.

I flew through this third book once I picked it up, just like the first two. I get sucked in and don't want to put it down, and every time I hit the end and I don't have the next book on hand to begin, I curse myself. Now... On to the next book! 5/5
