Memoirs of an Imaginary Friend by Matthew Dicks
5.0
Wow. I really don't know what to say about this book. It's great. It's fantastic. It's special.
This book is told in the 1st person POV of the imaginary friend of Max - Budo. Budo is alive for 5, almost 6, years which is a very long time for an imaginary friend since Kindergarten kills most imaginary friends. We get to know Max, his parents, his teachers, the other kids and and everything and -one else through the eyes of Budo. And so we see how Max deals with the hardships of every day life, school, bullies and the danger that is mentioned in the summary.
I don't want to give anything away with this "review" because half the fun is figuring everything out and experiencing everything together with Budo. If you are looking for something different and are prepared to read this book with an open mind and let the POV and Budo's thoughts sink it? I think you'll enjoy this book very much.
