Dead Babies and Seaside Towns by Alice Jolly
5.0
Dead Babies and Seaside Towns reminded me of Marion Coutts' The Iceberg, which is one of my all-time favourites. It is rich, clear, candid, and evocative;it is poignant, life-affirming, and incredibly moving. Jolly has achieved such an admirable balance between heartbreak and hope. Dead Babies and Seaside Towns is the first memoir which I've read about stillbirth and surrogacy, but I hope it won't be the last. A brave and beautiful book.
