The Wrong Prom Date by Alexandra Moody
4.0
I recommend this book if you like:
-YA romance
-fake relationship
-To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before (by Jenny Han)
Hayley has her eyes set on the popular twin next door, Owen, for her prom date. Her promposal doesn’t quite go as planned and ends up in a fake relationship with Owen’s nerdy and muso twin brother, Ethan. Their secret operation is to make Owen notice Hayley and hopefully end up asking her to prom. Little does Hayley know that Ethan has been crushing on her for years and is glad of the opportunity to spend more time with her, even if it is a fake relationship.
I just love how sweet Ethan is and how much he cares for Hayley that he helps her with the plan even though it would mean losing Hayley to his brother. I am so glad that Hayley starts to realise what a jerk Owen is and see Ethan properly, as the cool musician with a sweet, caring side.
I loved Ethan’s promposal and the BRG (Big Romantic Gesture) with the inclusion of Taylor Swift songs!
This book is an easy, quick, light-hearted read. I thoroughly enjoyed Hayley’s story and it has been my favourite of the series so far!
