This was an enjoyable afternoons read.
It does carry on from the other series by this Author, which I haven’t read yet. I didn’t feel lost in this one as events were discussed from Dallas’s point of view so I understood what happened, I just feel like I missed some of the information because we were only seeing it from his POV.
I felt for Dallas and the stuff he had to endure, especially being so young. No one should have to deal with that but definitely not an eighteen year old who was still at school. I loved his friendship with Benny.
I also liked Colt. I loved his determination to help his sister, and the fact that he paid attention and realised there was something not right with Dallas, He took the time to get to know him and allowed Dallas the time to get to understand his feelings. When Chloe was angry he gave her the space to come to terms with her anger and let her make the decision on how she was going to handle it, without forcing the issue and getting in her face.
I did think the ages of the characters a little detrimental at times as I just didn’t buy the met my soulmate at 18 and this is it for me. The first guy I’ve slept with and this is it, this is love and it’s all HEA. Sure it happens, but I just kept thinking what about later on.
I do want to go back a read the other series and see If that changes my mind on some of this, and I really wany Benny’s story.
