This was one of the best horror novels I’ve ever read! The tension, pacing and characterisation was all really fun. I adored Stevie and his dedication to Jude. We all need a friend that loyal and sweet. The creature was so creepy and seeing only snatches of it at times really built up the sense of dread. The second pov was also super fascinating. There were so many parts of this book that I laughed out loud at, and honestly I felt ashamed of myself. Stevie is a really comedic and unlucky character to follow. What a kid, coping how he knows best. I’m definitely going to read more of Ania Ahlborn’s work. This was a peak level horror story. 🌿🌻
