Only Meg would write a book that left me feeling anxiously creeped out but also horny? Swallowed is GORGEOUSLY written as all of Megs work is.
As I am new to the horror/suspense drama I am not sure of what typical structure should look like, but Swallowed had me feeling this creepy anxious dread as I was reading that just kept growing. I absolutely did not see the ending coming until I was reading it. I enjoyed how uncomfortable this book made me feel, which is a weird thing to write. But I highly recommend this for fans for suspense/horror fans.
Meg absolutely turned up the dial on the spice for this one and it was well written, while also containing the general creepiness that Swallowed has throughout.
Overall I thoroughly enjoyed Swallowed and the unease it made me feel. I swear I'm never looking at long grass or trees or vines the same.
