The Music of Bees by Eileen Garvin

emotional hopeful informative medium-paced

4.0

This is about found family or chosen family on a honeybee farm in Oregon. Three unlikely characters who all have a past to contend with, come together to find connection and community all while trying to raise bees in an environment where corporate pesticides and factory farming want to weasel their way in. I love stories that involve nature and the natural world and each chapter started with some facts about bees, which I thought was lovely.  The book was narrated by Therese Plummer who narrates the Virgin River series which is absolutely a comfort listen series for me so her soothing narration just brought me right into beautiful Oregon. I highly recommend this one on audio!
