I read very little romance, but this sounded fun when I requested it from the library, and it was. It's open door, but also doesn't take those scenes into super detail or super seriously, so I didn't mind it, even though usually I shy away from open door.

Probably a 3.5 star read for me. I liked it, it was fun, the dogs are especially delightful. I'm rating 3 instead of 4 for the number of times the author said things like, "Men like him were only in romance novels!" or a character said, "Wow, this is just like a Nora Ephron movie!" I get it, you think you're hilarious, it's so meta. It made me stabby and was wayyyy too many times.
