The Maze Runner by James Dashner
5.0
Oh, how I loved this book!
At the very beginning, maybe the first 5 or so chapters, I didn’t feel connected to the book. It felt like I was just reading the words and not really living them from Thomas point of view as I should have been.
Then something changed. I entered the next few chapters with a lot more interest and attention. Then before I knew it, I was inside this book, visualizing everything as Thomas had. I was sucked into the Glade.
Every time something happened, or Thomas went inside the maze, I was there, adrenalin pumping and everything.
Page after page I was enraptured by the words James Dashner left behind.
Then, before I realized it, I was suddenly nearing the end of the book, with only a few chapters left. It saddened me greatly, but I still kept going anyway. It's like I absolutely had to know how the story was going to end or I wouldn’t be able to sleep at night.
Well, I did finally find out, and whoa! I'm shocked, confused, sad, and just in awe of James Dashner's work. I will definitely be buying and reading The Scorch Trials very soon and continuing along side Thomas in his next big journey. Things can only get more interesting from here.
Seriously, I just want to open this book again and reread the whole thing until I get the next book. That’s how much I loved it.
I can give this book five stars easily.
Everyone should read this. You can never fully understand the love anyone has for a book until you read it yourself and discover your own love for it!
So now I say give it a try, and happy reading to all of you.
