This book is phenomenal. I am a big fan of short stories and this easily slid onto my list of favorites. I love that it's filled with women who are generally self aware and honest about who they are or aren't trying to be, even if that doesn't align with who they were told they should be.
This is a solid, complete collection and I couldn't even choose a favorite. I̶f̶ When I re-read this, I'll read them all. (But I will say that 𝗗𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗦𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿, which is a letter written to a sister that the writer has never met, made me think a lot about Tayari Jones' 𝗦𝗶𝗹𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄. I also love that story, which is about a man with two families and two sisters who don't know each other.)
