The Ghost Brigades by John Scalzi

2.0

Didn't like this nearly as much as Old Man's War. Mostly because I didn't like the main character, nor the plot setup. What did work was Scalzi exploring a bit more of the world he's built, the conflicting views of the Colonial Union, the weird lives of the Special Forces. Fun speculative fiction. But the characters and the story really weren't strong enough to carry it through. Enjoyable enough, but IMHO not remarkable.
