What a twisted tale

I saw a recommendation for this book on tiktok and it was just what I like to read. Dark, twisted and full of obsession. Mason was the dark cop who came across a girl. The day Angela gave him a flower it sealed her fate. Angela was running from a traumatic past, this story gives the feeling that she is weak and vulnerable. Officer burns only wants to protect her. That comes at a cost when he sees her on a date. Once he arrests her the story starts to really unfold but when she finally gives into her captor, the tables twist and I didn't see it coming. Brilliant. I loved the depths both characters went through to get what they wanted.
