Mean Spirited by Nick Roberts
5.0
First I want to say I loved this book. 5 stars.
However,
This book stressed me out so much! There is a dog. I love books with dogs! But bad things happen everywhere it goes. Is the dog the bad thing? Will bad things happen to the dog? There is also a kid. The kid loves the dog. Will the dog do bad things to the kid?
I've read so much horror that I can't say anything really "scares" me, but this book sure did strange things to my anxiety.
Then there was the ending, and the thought of the ending stressed me out because there was somewhere the author could clearly have gone and the book would have given me PTSD, but, thankfully, it didn't go the way I expected it to.
Anyway, if you like dogs you should read this book. If you like dogs and have anxiety problems, you might need an emotional support pup of your own. Just, probably not a Labrador.
