Funny romance
This was a first by this author for me. It was funny and light-hearted most of the time. It did have some serious points but they were placed in a good way to help the characters develop and grow with a backstory.
Diane - is so funny but guarded. I like how she grows as the story progresses. She finds herself and sticks with her newfound beliefs and way of life.
John - he is your typical closed off man. I think the author did a great job of having him change in a way that's subtle but also realistic for a man.
This was told only from John's POV which was okay but I like dual POV. Also I wished there was a bit more with some of the subplots and the resolutions. Some were brief for resolution and I guess I wanted more. I also wasn't inclined to immediately one-click the next in line. This was the main reason for the 4 stars for me.
