As a comic book world lover who struggles to read comic books, finding novels based on those worlds is like gold to me! I'll automatically rank them a little higher simply because I don't have to do what feels like geometry to read them. This story took Black Widow and Winter Soldier, gave us more back story, more insight, more emotion for both of them. Did I call the "big bad" from the moment he was mentioned? Sure, but that bit you can guess in comics usually! I loved the fight scenes, the way they blurred the senses and had natasha actually feel pain versus how she's portrayed in some of the comics. That was delightful. Enhanced, but still human. And bucky and the dog! Be still my heart! Lol
