Kennedy may be a Space Marine but her specialty is in other cultures history.  She's excited to be allowed to visit and learn from the Oronis. She has quite the reaction when meeting the tall, deadly, stoic Knightmaster, Ashtin.  But their meeting is aborted when an old enemy of the Oronis attacks and kidnaps their queen!

Ashtin quickly realises that his rash laying of blame at the feet of the Earthlings was an error and soon a joint task force is constructed to search for the queen.  Along with Kennedy he takes off in pursuit.  But the enticing human may just break his legendary cool!

There were some cameos from our Eon favourites to help link the series but they can quite easily be read without knowing about the Eon Warriors.  Kennedy and Ashtin had chemistry in droves and there was a lot of flirty banter and make out sessions.  It all felt very natural and placed well throughout the story arc of looking for the queen.

Kennedy is a smart cookie and whilst lacking detailed knowledge of the Oronis and their enemies, she was by no means a damsel in distress.  This woman packs power and is more than a match for Ashtin.  Ashtin's facade finally cracks and we see beyond the staid warrior to the smart and funny man he never gets a chance to let loose.   He falls hard, fast and first!  I loved watching him lose his cool!
