I've tried so hard to get into the Immortals series, but struggled with the first entry. This one has everything I wanted, a nerdy virgin hero who is down bad for the heroine literally from the moment they meet, a murdery mean girl warrior experiencing emotion for the first time, an treasure hunt full of famous mythical objects...just so much good stuff. The pacing is FAST- I tore through this in one sitting. Ultimately I found the love story very compelling, with the smut (GOOD smut too) acting as moments to drive the story and the relationship forward.
