I absolutely loved this book. It was a hard read in the sense of the fact that it made me have to reflect on my own behavior as a white person a little bit, and the whole premise of this book isn’t necessarily hard to believe. I really enjoyed the author’s writing style and the inventive part of the story telling that was threads from the OurHood app. It really added some nice details and inside view to the plot line.
I will say the one twist that had my head spinning was
when you found out her mom was already dead?! AND SHE BURIED HER UNDER THE SUNFLOWERS!!! Then to only find out her neighbors saw her do it and buried the body in a safer location. I was floored. Everybody just was asking her about her mom and they KNEW she was dead.

I highly recommend this book!!!
