Cinder by Marissa Meyer

5.0

Wow this book was just amazing. I love Cinder as the protagonist. She felt real and never forced. True feelings about her situation, the struggle of being seen as less, and seeing herself as less. The futuristic setting and Cinder being a cyborg immediately sucked me in. While it was an East meets west vibe, I never felt it was cheap like I've read or seen in other media. Queen Levana isn't just some misjudged queen, she is pure evil and isn't afraid to show it.

When I hit the last page of the book, I was dumbfounded because I was so engrossed I didn't realize I made it that far. I can't wait to see more of Cinder and meet the new characters in future books. No doubt in my mind, this is a true 5 out of 5 for me.
