I was pleasantly surprised with this book. I wanted a historical romance novel and I got a historical romance novel with a little bit of mystery inside. It was quite unexpected! Having to solve a mystery drew Jane and Edmund together to which we all know that they will get married because they care deeply for each other alongside their actions that during their time period would result in a quick ceremony. It was a delightful read and maybe I might pick up the other books in the series. (Good thing that this series is one of those that you do not have to read in order!)
