I’m so glad I finally read this book. Jenna Evans Welch’s writing has got to be my favourite in the YA contemporary romance genre right next to Sandhya Menon’s.
I love the found family trope in this book and the whole finding yourself and your place after a tragedy plot. I loved that the book also included a little mystery in a journal and the fairytale-esque moments and ending. It’s a perfect wholesome romance story that I have been craving.
Sure, I can see how some people might not enjoy it but I found myself not wanting to put the book down around the 40% mark.
I am keen on continuing on with the series and would love to make this book a part of my personal collection.
