I'm going to be all over the place with this one.
Reading it, I did enjoy aspects of it but I found others so far out there it took me out of the book.
This series is all about damaged men and these two were no exception. I didn't buy the no touching from Cain's back story and would have expected Ethan to behave that way. But Ethan was standoffish for one hot second and then everything was golden. I wanted more work from the two of them to break down the barriers. Cain let Ethan in very quickly and upgraded to allowing touch early. Ethan who had the most recent back story didn't really put up too much distance.
The story did move forward quickly and that made it very easy to read. It kept me reading when usually my mind would wander.
