2025: I read this in an evening. I definitely didn’t give this my full attention the first go around.
I love the characters and the magic. The world building and political climate is messy and varied, which is very realistic. The “evil force” is given more depth and we begin to see that they are much more than they appear.
I needed to reread this book because I wanted to finish the series, but couldn’t remember enough details about the last 3 hours of the audio. And I was not disappointed.
And this is a SLOW BURN MY GOD. 🔥😍
2023: 4.5 ⭐️
